Lorene Lewis Blann

1927-2006

Lorene Lewis Blann, 79, of Jayess, died Sept. 22, 2006, at her daughter’s residence in Jayess after a lengthy illness.

Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Hartman Funeral Home. Visitation continues 9 a.m. Monday at Providence Baptist Church, Jayess, until services there at 10. Bro. Mike Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Blann was born April 18, 1927, in Athens, Ala., daughter of Robert Charles Lewis and Ida Mae Johnson Lewis.

She was retired. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her husband of 50 years, Buddy Blann.

Mrs. Blann is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa Lorene Douglas and Dennis of Jayess, Roseann Blann of Mesquite, Texas, and Kathy Lyn Barnett and Charles of Newton, Texas; one brother, Robert Lewis of Perryton, Texas; three sisters, Vona Conger of Harriman, Tenn., Betty Kennedy of Ava, Mo., and Janice Thomas of Jackson; four grandchildren, Heather Lynn Tero, Maegan Lorene Tero, Brandie Kay Tero and Stephen Michael Tero Jr.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Douglas, Charles Barnett, Logan Stewart, Charles Kirksey, Greg Thomas and Hugh Ghormley III. Honorary pallbearer is Stephen Michael Tero Jr.
