Elaine Foster

1922-2008

Elaine Foster, 86, of Norfield, died May 18, 2008, at her home. Services were 10 a.m. today at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb, with the Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit.

Miss Foster was born April 7, 1922, in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late Lee W. Foster and Emily Stockton Foster.

She was retired from the City of Brookhaven, where she worked as a clerk. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include an uncle and aunt, Robert and Erma Stockton of Summit; and numerous cousins.

Pallbearers were Frank Henry Owens, Ralph Prestridge, J.P. Moak, Chuck Davis, Ben Moak and Doug Nettles. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Cowart and Danny Rials.
