Allie Holder

1924-2008

Allie Holder, 84, of Arkansas, died June 27, 2008, at her home. Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home and noon Tuesday until services there at 3 p.m. The Rev. Demon Kennedy will officiate, and burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. Holder was born March 24, 1924, in Pike County to D.I. and Mary Eudora Wells Daniel. She was a member of Magnolia Church of God and was a homemaker. Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W. Holder; a brother, Sam Daniel; and two sisters, Luphine Elliot and Effie Schnieder.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Annie Holder of McComb and Larry and Irene Holder of Summit; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Everette Dotson of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two sisters, Alice Daniel Estes and Eudora Zimmerman and husband Frank, all of Las Vegas; a brother, Jim Daniel of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, Jessica Wells and husband Alan of Tylertown, Rodney Holder and wife Jessica of Jayess, Lori D. Holder of McComb, Schondra Butler and husband David of Fayetteville, Ark., Charles Guinn Jr. of Pine Bluff, Ark., Jodi David and husband Daniel of Baton Rouge, and Jeremy Pollard and wife Melissa of Tylertown; and nine great-grandchildren, Makayla Vanover of Tylertown, Isaiah Deer, Alexis Holder and Taylor Holder, all of Jayess, Blane Martin, Alyssa and Marissa Pollard of Tylertown, Destiny Geautreaux and Madison David of Baton Rouge.
Pallbearers will be Alan Wells, Bo Robinson, Bo Dunaway, David Creel, Willis Simmons and Darald Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Guinn Jr. and Rodney Holder.
