Norman R. Butrick
1947-2008
Norman R. Butrick, 60, of Summit, died June 12, 2008, at G.V.
"Sonny" Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation was Saturday at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at the Old Pisgah Cemetery
on Robb Street West, Summit.
Mr. Butrick was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Falls City, Neb.. He was the
son of Alfred "Al" Keith Butrick and Peggy Sheperd Butrick of
Summit. He was head mechanic at McComb Bowling Center, and a U.S.
Army veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a member of the Pike County
Bowling Association's Hall of Fame and a member of the U.S.B.C.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Kim Smith Butrick of
Summit; four children, Doug and Lonnie Butrick of Hagerstown, Md.,
Jennifer and Chris Walter of Charles Town, W.Va., Gwen and Ken
Kalbaugh of Martinsburg, W.Va. and Nikki and David Painter of
Kearneysville, W.Va.; two brothers and their wives, Terry and Diane
Butrick and Mike and Gloria Butrick, all of Summit; one sister and
her husband, Laura and Carlton Edwards of French Settlement, La.;
six grandchildren, Brandon and Katelyn Butrick, Anna and Aiden
Walter, Kaleb Kalbaugh and Madison Painter; and numerous nieces,
nephews and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Matt Butrick, Josh Butrick, Chris Butrick, Devon
Butrick, Richard Carlisle and Mark Carlisle.
